Eastbourne Silver Band

Eastbourne Silver Band has been entertaining audiences from 1950, and remains a vibrant part of the town’s musical life ever since. As a self-financing and friendly, non-contesting band, we welcome players of all ages and abilities who share a passion for making music together.

Our musical director, Marcus Plant, is a dedicated and imaginative professional musician. He continually leads the band in fresh and exciting directions, creating engaging programmes for our performances. Whether on the iconic Eastbourne bandstand or at one of our many other engagements, Marcus brings a unique energy to our music.

While we honour our brass band roots, our repertoire has expanded beyond traditional marches to include modern compositions and arrangements from the world of stage and film, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
